I’m actually quite embarassed of the people of my race that decided it was alright to start editing pictures of white people with the term “cracker” & cyberbully a teen girl.
What is that? Are you serious?
Total cliché coming up, but do you think Dr. King would approve of this? What kind of bullshit—
Then again, it’s probably the same 10 people going around about the nigger shit. It’s like that Dumb Things Straight People Say blog: “We’re pissed & oppressed so we’re going to bully whoever we find on the internet into admitting they’re ignorant, because that’s going to make America love us & treat us as equals, right?”

I didn’t post the picture of the girl with cracker over it but : Responding to someone repeatedly harassing people with their racism is not now and will never be “cyber bullying”. She and her friend repeated what they did and said when begged not to and repeatedly defended what they said and did. If you are going to defend a racist and defend being a racist, you’ll get what you get and you’re getting what you want. There are consequences to being a racist and there are more consequences to defending racism instead of just apologizing. Otherwise you wouldn’t fucking defend it, you’d say “sorry” which she didn’t do until she got admittedly hundreds of messages from people telling her that what she did was ignorant and wrong. She then gave a half-assed fake apology to get everyone off her ass. 

Do I think Dr. King would approve of this? First of all, yes- yes, I do. If Dr. King could see that after all of these years since his and others’ activism this shit is still going on, he’d be with us. This is a peaceful protest if I’ve ever seen one, are you kidding me? The girl defended it by trivializing the word “nigger” and saying “NO ONE CARES” who uses it even though hundreds of people asked her to stop saying and explained why it’s hurtful. Yes the fuck I do think he would approve of it. Not that I even need the validation of someone asking the ever-banal “do you think dr. king would approve of it”? 
 

I feel like Dr. King would be disappointed that people can quote one sentence in one speech of his. I feel that he would be ashamed that people of his own race quote that one sentence when they defend the ignorant actions of white people.
